All New Ford Kuga SUV Hybrid.

The Ford Kuga compact SUV was first released in 2008 and has since changed in several ways. In 2021, it has received another update and is available as a plug-in hybrid and a self-charging hybrid and will soon be available as an EcoBlue hybrid. Ford has committed to electrifying their range, and offering hybrid options of this popular SUV is just one of their taking steps. The Kuga is a great option if you're looking for a car that's both safe and stylish, as well as aiming to take an eco-friendly approach to drive without switching to a fully electric vehicle.

The EcoBlue mild-hybrid features a self-charging 48-volt battery. With regenerative braking that captures energy to recharge the battery and give the engine a boost, the EcoBlue option is more efficient and helps drivers lower their emissions. The new Ford Kuga looks excellent, too, with a raised height, 17" alloys, and plenty of space in the interior. A comfortable ride awaits both driver and passengers, including a lot of legroom and plenty of storage to make the cabin practical. A tremendous amount of boot space (645 litres) also offers more storage, which can be more than doubled by lowering the back seats, plus the Kuga can tow up to 2,100kg.

The Full Hybrid offers self-charging efficiency, using a 2.5-litre Duratec engine with a self-charging, battery-powered electric motor. It also provides the option of all-wheel drive. Like the EcoBlue version of the Kuga, the self-charging hybrid recaptures energy that's usually lost during deceleration, making it more efficient than ever. This option also benefits from a larger battery that stores more power, provides better fuel economy, and can drive short distances using only electric power. The hybrid automatically switches between power configurations as you drive to match the situation and offers more than 600 miles of total driving range. There's no need to plug in and charge your car; you can fill up on fuel when necessary.

The range also includes a plug-in hybrid, offering the best of both worlds. The advanced electric powertrain gives you the ability to carry out short trips of up to 35 miles on zero emissions, and you can plug in and charge it up anywhere you have access to mains power. This is combined with a conventional combustion engine with power split technology. The total driving range is up to 465 miles, not quite as far as the full hybrid, but still offering an economical option.

Other features of the Ford Kuga range include Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with a built-in RADAR sensor, ensuring you remain a safe distance from other vehicles. There's also a Lane-Keeping System to prevent drifting over lines. The built-in FordPass Connect offers an intelligent entertainment system, too, with 4G LTE WiFi available for up to 10 devices and remote features on offer.
