Situated metres from the ski area the Hotel Sporting could not be more ideally located. It is a beautiful building that is like an iceburg in that from the road you only see part of it. it has so much more hidden below the main reception and accommodation areas. It is built from wood with plenty of glass to allow visitors to see the gorgeous views of Livigno. Modern and classy it certainly exudes luxury and is deserrving of its four stars.

The rooms are elegant, luxurious and very comfortable. Various room options are available to cater for singles up to families. All have TVs and standard facilities found in modern hotel rooms. The wifi throughout the hotel is great and free. Five types of room are available, with options to have connecting rooms. They start with the Comfort, then Superior, Wellness, Suite and finally the Family.

The fantastic Living bar below the main reception area is a great place to relax after a hard days skiing. What could be better than returning to a tasty snack at the hotel after a long day in the mountains? Every day delicacies prepared by the pastry chef, as well as hot chocolate, herbal teas and many other hot drinks. For the evening, aperitifs, with a wide selection of cocktails and tasty finger food prior to going down to dinner.

The Spa is awesome with heated indoor pool, outdoor hot tub and sauna. Fresh fruit and iced drinks are in the relaxation area, and there is a lovely play area for children.

The Wellness Centre

A proper wellness holiday in the mountains can't be possible without a wellness centre that provides services and quality treatments.

For adults only, the wellness centre of the Hotel Sporting Livigno has a panoramic relaxation area with herbal tea service, sauna, Turkish bath, room with a wall of salt, ice fountain and emotional showers.

Here you also have the possibility to book individual treatments or couple massages and to participate in exclusive events.

The Wellness Centre is open daily from 3.00 PM to 8.00 PM with the opportunity to book the spa for your exclusive use in the morning and from 8.30 PM onwards for a romantic night of sweet relaxation.

The food is fine dining and yet substantial, as there are anti pasta, starters, main and then gorgeous desserts. All courses have choices so there will be something on the menu to please everyone. The dining room also has a self-service food area with salads, kids menu and fresh vegetables and fruit. Breakfasts are superb too, with a large buffet selection and cooked to order egg options.

I must comment on the staff who were fantastic, friendly and very professional. They looked after myself and two boys so well and became friends, greeting us by name.

We are going back next year and hopefully for many more years to come.
