Fun, Fun, Fun, Jeremy, in a Caterham 270 R.

The Housemartins’ song says “ Fun, Fun, Fun, Jeremy.” I certainly had lots when driving the Caterham 270R a charismatic car that brings smiles to the people in it, as well as onlookers. It attracts admires so be prepared for plenty of chats when you park.

From when I collected the 270R from Caterham HQ I knew my week with it would be amazing. It was a glorious day, blue sky, sun in the sky and dry roads.

I wanted to take the Caterham on some twisty tarmac to give it a good test of its handling. I did a circuit of the back roads around Horsham and Guildford which offer some good challenging corners with nice straights too.

The 270 R is awesome on these types of roads, with its superb grip allowing fast cornering and exhilarating acceleration.
