The CF Moto 675SR-R Supersport is a Magnificent Machine.
Chinese brand CF Moto is producing models at a rate of knots, and their latest for 2025 is the 675SR-R. This supersport machine aimed at owners who love track days is perfect for the task and equally capable on the road.
Climb on, and you must adopt the lean forward belly on the tank position, which is typical of a supersport bike. It will never be a long-distance Tourer, so the riding position is suitable. The standard seat height is not high at 810mm, but you can opt for a shorter height of 795mm or a higher seat of 830mm.
The CF Moto 675SR-R handles well and induces copious amounts of confidence in corners, whether on track or in twisties on country lanes. You can adjust the suspension for track or road and get it right for your riding style. Steering is accurate and light, and the 675SR-R is agile enough to flick around.
The braking performance matches the rest of the chassis with impressive power, feel, and consistency. When you’re pushing hard, there’s never a feeling the 675SR-R will lose grip or get out of shape, which means you can ride and enjoy the whole experience.
The bike may not compete with rivals' speeds or power, such as the Triumph Daytona 675 or MV’s old F3 675, but it does equal or better the ease of riding, fluidity, and fun. 88bhp comes from the Euro 5+ model and 93bhp from the non-Euro 5+ version, which is excellent when on it, hammering around a circuit.
The CF Moto SR-R’s 675cc inline triple also powers the naked 675 NK version, making 87bhp@11,000rpm and 50lb-ft@8250rpm in Euro5+ trim. The claimed top speed is 137mph, and 0-62mph in 3.6 seconds. Rider aids come in ABS and two-stage (plus ‘off’) traction control. A quickshifter is available as an accessory.
Rivals include Honda's CBR600RR, which costs £10,529, the ZX-6R from Kawasaki, which costs £10,599, and Yamaha’s R9, which costs £12,250. All of them are more powerful, quicker in a straight line, and, in the right hands, lap faster than the CF Moto, but the 675SR-R is a perfect introduction to track day bikes and for riders moving up from an A2 licence.
You get a 5-inch colour dash (with in-built type A and C USB chargers), which features a lap timer and tyre pressure monitor. In addition to choosing the traction control levels (including ‘off’) within the dash functions, you can set them with a single button on the left switchgear.
The CF Moto 675SR-R can be compared to the Triumph Daytona 675 and looks like an MV. The bike has a 15-litre fuel tank, and to get the best racing position, you lie across it, trying to tuck under the screen,
“bags of fun from this capable 675 88bhp machine.”
Plenty of Accessories are available, including heated grips, crash protection lever guards, racing brake and clutch levers, a billet aluminium top yoke, racing clip-ons, a fuel cap, and a tail tidy.
CF Moto’s 675 SR-R is a bargain at £6999 for an inline three-cylinder, 675cc machine with quality chassis parts, rider aids, aero, and a glorious engine note. The bike is exciting, loaded with tech, and hugely capable on the road and track. The bike’s handling is a huge plus and enviable for many other large-brand sports bikes, as the stability and front feel formidable in corners.
The CF Moto 675SR-R has plenty of power to keep you entertained and happy even if you move up to an A2 licence or an experienced rider. The bike gives confidence in every area; if you make an error, it won’t punish you. The price, quality, and riding attributes are a compelling package.
