Rapide S

Four-door luxury sports car combining beauty and performance. AM label it the most beautiful four-door sports car in the world, and after seeing it I don’t disagree.

The car captures the spirit of Aston Martin and delivers this to the driver, and passengers. Space is plentiful, this is matched with luxury throughout the interior.

Hand stitched detailing on the seats and paneling can be in any colour you want, as can the leather used.

Driving the Rapide S brings even more pleasure and this is why you buy an Aston. Handling is superb, with the car being balanced so well and only weighing 1990KG, meaning it takes corners fantastically, never feeling lumpy or strained.

552BHP pushes the car along Rapidly and to a top speed of 203mph. The lightweight means it can get from 0-60mph in 4.2 seconds which for a four-door car is awesome.

The engine is the AM29 V12 6 litre, Aston’s most technologically advanced, most powerful Rapide engine ever built.

Transmission is automatic using the eight-speed Touchtronic III gearbox, which is smooth and ultra quick in changing up and down. Paddles can be used by the driver to take over gear changes for increased control and fun. (Enjoyment).

Inside the car, there is a great infotainment system linked to B&O sound unit and speakers. It allows Bluetooth connection which can then link phone and external music.
It also has Sat Nav, and car system settings and warnings.

I took the Rapide S on a 500 mile round trip in horrendous weather on all types of roads and loved it.

Motorways are a breeze with the car happily cruising at 70 all day long, returning good MPG figures, and enveloping the driver and passengers with comfort.

A and B roads are equally covered with ease as the Rapide S, hugs the road and takes both sweeping and tight corners fast yet in control. Never throwing the occupants around or breaking traction. It goes where you steer it, with superb feedback to the driver.

Brilliant daily car it could also be used on track days without any changes. In every sense, a Sports car, with two extra doors, making it more practical for family ownership.

I would be happy to have one and use it every day.
